A&K Crabs was born from a simple truth in Essex County, New Jersey: our neighborhoods deserved real blue crabs again—good size, good quality, and still affordable.
For a long time, the inner city hasn't had consistent access to crabs that are actually worth buying. And in Black and brown communities, seafood isn't just food… it's a moment. It's family. It's music in the background, laughter in the kitchen, and everybody reaching in for "one more."
So we made a promise: we were going to go out of our way to find a reliable source of quality crabs and bring it back home—fresh, seasoned right, and served with respect. When we finally locked in that source, we didn't just start a food truck… we started a community staple. A place you can count on when you want crabs done the right way.
This journey is dedicated to the friends and family we carry in our hearts—the ones who would've loved to be right here with us enjoying every stop, every order, every bag cracked open at the table.
